Introduction

I am a current student at Georgetown University studying computer science and data science. I am completing course work toward an accelerated B.A./M.S. degree program. In May, 2024, I will graduate with a B.A. in computer science and minors in Korean and statistics. Subsequently in May, 2025, I will graduate with a M.S. in Data Science and Analytics.

Since August, 2022, I have worked as a data science researcher with Professor Lisa Singh at Georgetown University’s Massive Data Institute (MDI). I have contributed to projects at the intersection of data science and public policy such as tracking scientific misinformation on Twitter and predicting forced migration with social media data. Description of the image

My current (broad) areas of academic interest are information science, natural language processing (NLP), and data ethics. As I have progressed through my undergraduate computer science and statistics electives, as well as my core graduate courses, I have really enjoyed courses like Information Retrieval and Data Mining. Additionally, I have had a lot of fun working with language models for labeling and prediction.
